Constitution

1. BACKGROUND

The Zimbo Angel Society was created to help Zimbabweans who due to the economical hardship they face, struggle to support themselves let alone their families.

The organization is comprised of people who volunteer their time to do “Random Acts of Kindness”.

The Zimbo Angel Society is not a political group, therefore we are here to focus all of our attention on organizing events and collection points to help the people of Zimbabwe affected by the economic hardship they face.

2. NAME

The Zimbo Angel Society, also known as Z.A.S.

3. OBJECTIVES

The objectives of the organization are to collect the following for distribution in packages to those people worst effected by the economic hardship:

  1. Food
  2. Clothes
  3. Everyday essential items (e.g. soap & toothpaste)
  4. Other non essential items (e.g. toys)
  5. Monetary donations

Since all members who are part of the Z.A.S. are so on a voluntary basis, none of the money, food, or other donations shall be given to any member of the organization to pay for services rendered. All donations & collections are to be distributed in Zimbabwe to those in need.

4. LEGAL STATUS

The Zimbo Angel Society is a non profit organization, and shall continue to exist despite members leaving, being changed or new people joining.

If the organization should cease to exist, any goods or money left will be handed over to another organization of similar objectives.

5. NON-PROFIT DISTRIBUTION

In order to raise funds and other goods, events and fundraising drives will be organized worldwide to bring people together to have fun and help the people of Zimbabwe.

Distribution is to be arranged within the Organisation. Ideally packages will be put together containing food, clothes & other essential items & then distributed by members of the Organisation within Zimbabwe.

The members and office-bearers of the Zimbo Angel Society have no personal right to any property belonging to the association.

6. POWERS

There are to be 2 tiers within the organisation.

The first tier being The Committee - which shall consist of a said amount of members.

These members will be responsible for the day to day running of the organisation, final decisions, as well as the planning & proper execution of all fundraising events.

The second tier being The Volunteers. This will be made up of members who give freely of their time, but who are however not interested in the day to day running of the organization. These people will be directed by the Committee Members.

7. MEMBERS

Anyone can become a member of the Z.A.S. They are however required to maintain the integrity, honour and trust of those within the organisation.

Anyone wanting to become a member of the Z.A.S. should contact the Committee at zimboangelsociety@yahoo.com or on the facebook group page http://www.facebook.com/group.php?gid=2426019035 to become a representative.

Furthermore all events and fundraising drives must be approved by the Committee. All planned events will be published on the website: http://www.zimboas.blogspot.com, therefore if it is not published on the website it is not a sanctioned event.

Due to the fact that the members of the Z.A.S. shall not only be situated within Africa, but worldwide, the Committee shall manage all aspects of the Organisation from both the website and the facebook group page.

Welcome to the Zimbo Angel Society

Welcome to the Zimbo Angel Society.

This is the place for ordinary people to make a difference for ordinary Zimbabweans. We are a non profit organization and we are here to do charity work and here to help the people of Zimbabwe have a better life. We are not a political organization and have nothing to do with politics, we are just here to help those in need.

Small things such as pens, notebooks, food, toys, clothes or even $1 will make a huge difference. Everything adds up!

Unlike most non profit organizations, it is not all about donating money, it is also about donating your time. We will be organizing events such as book readings or sports events for those who struggle and even help make sports teams and provide jerseys, balls and equipment etc.

We will need people to help out during the summer to do hands on work to make the events successful.

Give a little bit of your heart and help make a difference.

Thank You.
